Her guardian angel, her first and only love.
Can she count on him or is he hiding secrets darker
than she can even imgine?
Nora should have known her life was far from perfect. Despite starting a relationship with her guardian angel, Patch (who, title aside, can be described anything but angelic), and surviving an attempt on her life, things are not looking up. Patch is starting to pull away and Nora can't figure out if it's for her best interest or if his interest has shifted to her arch-enemy Marcie Millar. Not to mention that Nora is haunted by images of her father and she becomes obsessed with finding out what really happened to him that night he left for Portland and never came home.
The farther Nora delves into the mystery of her father's death, the more she comes to question if her Nephilim blood line has something to do with it as well as why she seems to be in danger more than the average girl. Since Patch isn't answering her questions and seems to be standing in her way, she has to start finding the answers on her own. Relying too heavily on the fact that she has a guardian angel puts Nora at risk again and again. But can she really count on Patch or is he hiding secrets darker than she can even imagine?

The Characters
Patch Cipriano
Patch Cipriano is the ultimate bad boy, from his attitude to the way he dresses. Nora describes him best when she talks about a certain night she runs into him...
"dressed in the usual: black shirt, black jeans, and a thin silver necklace that flashed against his dark complexion. His sleeves were pushed up his forearms, and I could see his muscles working as he punched buttons. He was tall and lean and hard, and bore several scars, souvenirs from street fights and other behavior."
He is a Fallen Angel with a long history.
Nora Grey
Nora is 16 years old and describers herself as ...
a smokey-eyed brunette with volumes of curly hair that holds its own against even with the best flatiron, and long legs like a bar stool.
She's practical and responsible and was not looking for trouble - until Patch showed up. She has been dating Patch for a few months now and is looking forward to a great Summer Vacation with her best friend Vee and boyfriend Patch!
Scott Parnell
aka Scotty the Potty
Scott is Nora's childhood friend, who along with his Mom, has recently returned to Coldwater.
.
..tall and well built, a silver hoop through his right earlobe and Levi's hung dangerously low on his hips...He wore a pink hawaiin print ball cap that had to be an inside joke and his sunglasses reminded me of Hulk Hogan... despite all of this he had a certain boyish charm...
Vee Sky
Vee Sky is Nora's best friend, and as Nora puts it her "un-twin," with her...
green eyes, minky blond hair, and her womanly figure.
Besides their physical differences Vee is far more interested in boys, and isn't afraid to get into a little trouble. Okay, big trouble.
Rixon
Rixon is Patch's Best Friend and also a Fallen Angel. Described as....
a tall, stringy guy with a hawk nose and shaggy blue-black hair...he speaks with a heavy Irish accent....
He knows things about Patch that no one else knows, not even Nora! They have spent many years together.
Blythe Grey
Blythe is Nora's Mom. In an effort to keep the family finances under control after the death of her husband (Nora's Dad), she travels often for work. She doesn't like to leave Nora alone as often as she does, but sees no other way to make ends meet.
Blythe is not exactly thrilled with her daughter's new found relationship with Patch.

Don't Wake Aislin
The
Red Thread
Movement
In itself, wearing a red bracelet is not important. It is merely some threads woven together and worn on one’s arm. But what if there was a
story
behind that bracelet? What if the person who wove those threads together was a twelve-year-old girl from Nepal? And what if that same girl had been
rescued
on the border of her country from a sex trafficker, before being enslaved by one of the most prominent international crimes to date?
Freedom
is something we may take for granted, but it is denied many women and girls around the world. By wearing a Red Thread Movement bracelet, you are proclaiming that freedom has
not been
forsaken
, as you seek to restore it.
